Terms of service

StrictDNS is run by Nexgea. By using the StrictDNS apps, the web app at app.strictdns.com, or our DNS servers, you agree to these terms.

What StrictDNS does

StrictDNS blocks the sites and apps you choose on the devices you add, and tells your accountability partners what you block, when you change it, and when a device stops filtering.

It's a tool for keeping a commitment, not a lock. Someone determined can get around a DNS filter, for example with a VPN or another device, and no filter catches every site. We don't promise that everything you want blocked will be, or that nothing you want will be blocked by mistake.

Your account

• You sign in with Apple or Google, and you're responsible for what happens in your account.
• Your account also works in our app ScrollBump.
• You must be old enough to use Apple or Google sign-in where you live.

Partners

When you add a partner, they see what ourprivacy page says they see, and they're alerted about changes. Only add people who have agreed to be your partner, and only add devices that are yours, or that you're allowed to manage.

Fair use

Please don't:

• use StrictDNS to watch someone without their knowledge;
• share your devices' DNS addresses, or use them on devices that aren't yours;
• overload, attack, or try to get around the service's limits;
• use it for anything illegal.

We may suspend accounts that do.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions bought in our apps are handled by Apple or Google, under their terms. They renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel and ask for refunds through your App Store or Google Play account. Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to our iOS and Mac apps. If we change the price, you'll be told before it applies to you.

Changes and availability

We work to keep StrictDNS running, but it may sometimes be unavailable. We may change or stop features; if we ever shut StrictDNS down, we'll give you notice. If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email.

Ending

You can stop using StrictDNS at any time: remove your devices and cancel your subscription. To delete your account, emailprivacy@strictdns.com.

Liability

StrictDNS is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for anything that happens because a site was or wasn't blocked. Nothing here limits rights you have under your local consumer law.
